Hello there! I feel like I have been quiet on the blog front lately with nothing epic to share. I have been squirreling away projects and ideas for spring. Currently I am working on a big wedding stationary order. Most recently I performed cosmetic surgery on a cute little side table that I’d like to share…
My neighbor picked up this little table for a song and saw the potential it had as a side table for him. I think it may have been a children’s table in another life.
Looks like someone might have started to paint or prime it too. Not really sure what their plan was so I sanded it down leaving just a little bit of the old texture to create some depth.
For a masculine look, I painted the top with 2 coats of Benjamin Moore’s van deusen blue.
To lighten it up a bit, I applied 2 coats of ASCP Paris Grey to the legs.
Clear waxed the whole table and voila! A masculine side table is born.
What are you working on?
P.S. If you are eyeing up that fabulous vintage thermos, it is for sale in my etsy shop.
i love the sweet simplicity of this, dana!
