So I took an impromptu blogcation last week. It was bliss. Not that I don’t love you and all but I have to admit it was nice to disconnect from the world weird web. My social media was limited to instagram. In case you missed it, we got some R&R in on the beach.
Took a delightful stroll through an enchanting farm.
And took time to adore the hydrangeas that Cape May is known for in summertime.
Plus we caught the most fabulous sunset I have ever seen followed by fireworks!
But don’t worry it wasn’t all fun in the sun last week. We did a lot of, yawn, home organization along with some other projects for the love of vintage.
Like this oh-so-traditional turned leg table which is now a pop of color redone in Miss Mustard Seed’s milk paint Flow Blue.
Here’s the before. Traditional oak which you know I don’t hate simply because of that wood grain but using milk paint as a stain keeps that grain grinning and wakes us all up a bit.
Isn’t the Ironstone basin & pitcher sweet too?
But seriously those brass claw feet. Love. Love. Love.
And those legs.
In other news, The West End Garage in Cape May is hopping and apparently South Jersey magazine has taken note because we were vote “Best Eclectic Market” at the Shore!
Annnnd Circa Dee is now offering a collection of vintage clothes at the Garage. I have been hoarding some really fun vintage summer dresses and crazy prints that you never knew you needed to complete your down the shore vacation.
For those of you out of the region, that’s what we say. “Down the Shore”
How was your 4th? And 5th and 6th and 7th? Did you take a break? Did you go down the shore?
We enjoyed the same beautiful sunset and fireworks on the bay. And it wouldn’t be a trip “down the shore” without a stop at the West End Garage (my favorite shop, too). You have some great things in your booth.
Thanks Linda!
