Surely you have these dreams too. Fields and fields of dusty old junk, rusty metal, chipping paint, worn in seats and glimmering glassware.
Where could this fairytale vintage-land be? My heart pitter patters with anticipation of what we might find this year at Brimfield – the motherland of antiques. The vintage mecca of the Northeast.
I suppose the trip is a tradition for us now. Last year we honeymooned in Brimfield. Laugh if you must but it was amazing!
We had a blast and both agree that the dirty fields of antiques and concessions of junk food topped the second leg of our trip in Nantucket, believe it or not. Nantucket was amazing too – just a bit predictable.
So we’re celebrating our first anniversary at Brimfield this May and I can barely wait to see what we’ll find this time.
I lose sleep making mental lists of supplies we should pack like carts, dollies, bags, tissue, bungee cords and so on! Maybe some healthier snacks than what’s offered. Is anyone going this May?
Ah, market season is upon us for sure. Our southern friends will be shopping Round Top in Texas next weekend. Scott’s in Georgia also opens soon. And of course we have Clover Market’s opening day in Philly in just a couple of weeks. Tell me, what is the hot market in your region that you’ll be shopping?
